    • The objective of the present invention is to provide an engaging position memorizing device that is capable of accurately detecting an engaging position of a vehicle clutch and a brake system using the same. In order to achieve the above objective, an engaging position memorizing device (2b) that memorizes an engaging position of a clutch which engages and disengages the power of a vehicle memorizes the engaging position of the clutch based on the clutch position detected at the point of time when acceleration is changed in a case where the vehicle is in a driving state until the lapse of a predetermined time after the change in the acceleration in a front-to-back direction of the vehicle. Also, a brake system (1) includes a vehicle wheel engaging mechanism (5) that drives a propulsion member (5a) with driving devices (3, 4) so that a wheel of the vehicle is engaged; and a control device (2) that controls the driving of the propulsion member (5a) of the vehicle wheel engaging mechanism (5) based on the engaging position of the clutch memorized by the engaging position memorizing device (2b).
