    • There is provided a suspension system (10) for providing a suspension between wheels and a frame (20) of a vehicle. The system (10) comprises an arm beam (30) pivotally mounted to the frame (20) at its proximate end and coupled at its distal end (30c) to a guiding assembly (70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120) enabling the arm beam (30) to pivot in a vertical direction and to be restrained in lateral directions perpendicular to said vertical direction. The arm beam (30) includes: (a) a spring and damper assembly (200, 220) near its distal end for providing a dampened resilient mount for said suspension; (b) a wheel axle beam (210) coupled to the arm beam (30) for bearing a load borne by the wheels transmitted directly in-line with a central axis of said spring and damper assembly (200, 220); and (c) a stabilizer (400, 500, 510) coupled between the arm beam (30) and the frame (20), the stabilizer (400, 500, 510, 600) resisting a lateral rolling motion of said vehicle. The stabilizer (400, 500, 510, 600) is included between the proximate end of the arm beams and their damper and spring assemblies (200, 220) for rendering the system (10) more compact.

At least a first control-unit (23) of said control-units is provided with a reprogrammable memory (232) for storing software (151), which directs the control-unit (23) in controlling a vehicle system that is connected to the control-unit (23). At least a second control-unit (14) of said control-units (11, 12, 13 14, 21, 22, 23) is connected to a media-receiver adapted to receive a portable media (150), which comprises software (151) to be installed in the memory (232) of said first control-unit (23). Said second control-unit (23) is further arranged to obtain said software (151) from said portable media and to transfer said software to said first control-unit (23). The invention also comprises a method for reprogramming an ECU or similar by using said reprogrammable system arranged in a motor vehicle.

    • The invention relates to a valve actuation system for providing added motion in the valve mechanism of an internal combustion engine with at least one inlet valve and at least one exhaust valve. The valve mechanism comprises a rotatable camshaft including rising and falling ramps designed to interact with a valve control plunger inside a cylinder (23) for actuation of the inlet or exhaust valve (12) under the action of a valve spring (13). The cylinder (23) communicates with a hydraulic fluid feed line via a check valve and with a hydraulic control circuit (26) allowing a return movement of a valve to be delayed in relation to the timing of the corresponding falling ramp. The hydraulic control circuit (26) comprises a first and a second hydraulic fluid flow restrictor (37, 38) connected to the control plunger cylinder (23) at different levels along its longitudinal axis. A selector valve (31) enables a connection between the cylinder and hydraulic fluid return line (32) to be opened via either one only or both flow restrictors.
