    • PURPOSE: An electronically controlled-suspension having fail-safe function and a method for controlling thereof are provided to improve the ride comfort and control stability of a vehicle by regularly maintaining the height of a vehicle using the damping controller. CONSTITUTION: An electronically controlled-suspension having fail-safe function comprises an AS-valve control unit(40), a garage controller(10), a damping controller(20), and a switching unit(30). The AS-valve control unit controls an air spring valve(50). The damping controller controls an amount of the current flowing in the damper and controls the damping power. The alternating signal is outputted when case the order signal is inputted from the garage controller. The damping controller outputs the control signal of the air spring valve for controlling the height of a vehicle with the garage signal to the AS-valve control unit. The switch part selectively transmits the control signal of the air spring valve to the AS-valve control unit.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for coupling a separable stabilizer bar system is provided to secure a reserve powering apparatus for powering a clutch assembly, a speed sensing apparatus for inhibiting the operation of the stabilizer bar assembly in a disengaged condition, and a methodology for controlling the engagement and disengagement of a pair of stabilizer bar assemblies. CONSTITUTION: In a stabilizer bar assembly for a vehicle having a pair of laterally spaced wheels, the stabilizer bar assembly has first and second stabilizer bar members(40a,40b) and a clutch assembly(42). The first stabilizer bar member is adapted to be coupled to a first one of the pair of laterally-spaced wheels and the second stabilizer bar member is adapted to be coupled to a second one of the pair of laterally-spaced wheels. The clutch assembly is coupled to the first and second stabilizer bar members. The clutch assembly has a switch and an electrically powered actuator to be coupled to a vehicle power source. The electrically powered actuator is responsive to a first control signal produced by the switch. The first control signal cause the electrically powered actuator to uncouple the first and second stabilizer bar members to permit the first and second stabilizer bar members to rotate independently of one another. The electrically powered actuator is responsive to a second control signal produced by the switch. The second control signal cause the electrically powered actuator to couple the first and second stabilizer bar members for rotation with one another. A reserve powering apparatus powers the electrically powered actuator when power cannot be transmitted to the electrically powered actuator from the vehicle power source.

    • Disclosed are a method for controlling a damper power source through voltage monitoring and an electronic control suspension device using the same. The method for controlling a damper power source through voltage monitoring includes a step in which a transistor is turned on by a control unit and a current is applied to a relay circuit; a step in which a switch formed on the relay circuit is turned on and battery voltages are outputted as the damper power source via the relay circuit; and a step of monitoring the voltage outputted from the relay circuit and changing a driving mode of the electronic control suspension device for controlling the damper power source. Therefore, the present invention reduces relay noise and stabilizes the damper power source. Furthermore, the present invention reduces relay noise generated around working voltages and extends a service life of the relay circuit.
