    • The invention relates to an electromechanical wheel braking device (10) with an electromotor, a rotation/translation change-over transmission (20) which can be rotationally driven by means of the electromotor. The inventive device also comprises a friction brake pad (14) that can be pressed against a braking body (brake disc 16) by means of the rotation/translation change-over transmission (20). According to the invention, the electromotor is separated into a number of three motor modules (34) for instance which are arranged in a distributed manner. Each motor module (34) exerts a torque via a limited angle of rotation of the motor module (34) only. Rotors (36) of the motor modules (34) are synchronised and phase-displaced in such a way that a torque can be exerted in each rotational position of the rotors (36) by means of at least one motor module (34). The advantage of the invention is that a compact construction of the wheel braking device (10) is provided, whereby the construction is adapted to the constructional space available.

    • The invention relates to a drum brake device of a road vehicle, in particular for a motor vehicle. Said drum brake can operate as a service brake and as a parking or emergency brake. In service brake mode, a first actuator separates two movable ends of the brake shoes mounted on a plate that can rotate relative to the drum, while the opposite ends thereof both abut against an anchor element, performing a "simplex" type operation. According to the invention, the mechanism of said drum brake is mounted on a plate provided such as to be able to receive, as required: a stop plate which can be used as an anchor element for the simplex mode, in service brake mode by actuating the first actuator and in parking brake mode by pulling a lever actuated by a cable; or a second actuator separates the abutment ends of the brake shoes from one another while the movable ends thereof engage one another by means of a free element inserted relative to the plate, performing a "duo servo" type operation. The invention also relates to a vehicle including such a drum brake, and to a method for assembling such a drum brake including a step of selecting between mounting a basic stop plate or a second actuator.
