    • The present invention relates to a wheel electro-mechanical brake system (10) comprising a spindle mechanism (18) which is mounted in a floating calliper (12) and is driven by an electric motor (30) for pressing a first friction pad (14) against the surface of a brake disc (16) and for pressing a second friction pad (14) against the other surface of said disc (16) by a reaction force through said floating calliper (12).
