The non-first- preceding-object-information-dependent control is a control of the operating devices on the basis of non-first-preceding-object information detected by the present system per se, in the presence of a high possibility of crashing of the own vehicle with a first preceding vehicle existing immediately in front of the own vehicle. The non-first-preceding- object information relates to at least one non-first preceding object each existing in front of the first preceding vehicle. The width-related- information-dependent control is a control of the operating devices on the basis of at least one of width-related information relating to a width and a widthwise position of each specific object selected from the above-indicated at least one preceding object.

    • PURPOSE: A vehicle speed control apparatus is provided to control a vehicle by less output of a radio frequency transmitter and preventing an abnormal operation and to control the vehicle with driving intention of a driver. CONSTITUTION: A traveling state detecting part(100,200,300,400,500,600) detects a vehicle speed, a rotation direction, whether or not a brake operates, an open/close degree of a throttle valve and outputs an electric signal as a detected result. A wireless transceiver(700) transmits a radio frequency signal of a lower power including information of a limited speed and a current traveling state considering the limited speed. A central processing unit(800) receives the radio frequency signal of the wireless transceiver and establishes a current traveling state mode and it judges whether a current traveling state judged from an output signal of the traveling state detecting part coincides with the first traveling state and it judges whether a driver intends to reduce a speed. An engine control part(1300) outputs a signal for controlling an open/close degree of a throttle valve according to a control signal of the central processing unit inputted through connected area network(CAN) communication. A display part(900) displays a current established mode and a vehicle state according to the control signal of the central processing unit.
