    • The rear object detector converts the distance between a vehicle and an object into time to cover more larger detectionable range and an automatic gain controller utilizes the time as control variable so that exact detection is accomplished regardless of the distance. The detector comprises an ultrasonic transmitter (100) for generating ultrasonic pulse train using a trigger circuit (1), a receiver (200) including a trigger signal generator (Px) for generating trigger signal according to input ultrosonic pulse, an automatic gain controller (10) for adjusting gain of an amplifier according to trigger signal intervals, a temperature compensator (5) for compensating gain of complifier according to external temperature, and a hibrid IC for driving alarm lamp according to the signal transmitted from an amplifier (4).
