    • PURPOSE: A damping force regulating buffer is provided to regulate the damping characteristic in low speed area without change of relief pressure and controls the relief pressure of main damping valves variably without the damping characteristic in low speed area. CONSTITUTION: A damping force regulating buffer comprises a cylinder(1), a piston(6), a piston rod(7), main damping valves(14, 19), first orifices(27, 29), second orifices(28, 30), and a back pressure chamber. Working fluid is filled in the cylinder. The piston comparts the cylinder into two chambers. The main damping valves are installed in a first passage for restricting the working fluid flow. The first orifices are installed in a second flow passage located in the downstream of the first orifices and installed in the second flow passage. The back pressure chamber pressurizes the main damping valves into closing direction.

    • PURPOSE: A damper is provided to generate objective damping force even though using a component restricting the extension of a piston rod. CONSTITUTION: A damper comprises a first passage and a second passage. The first passage is installed for working fluid flowed between two chambers(12, 13). The first passage comprises a damping valve. The damping valve generates damping force by restricting the flow or working fluid flowed by the moving of a piston. The second passage is connected to one of the two chambers. The second passage comprises a variable orifice, a pressure chamber, and a free piston. The area of the variable orifice is adjusted by an elastic member(32). The pressure chamber and the variable orifice are formed in series. The free piston changes the volume of the pressure chamber.
