    • PURPOSE: A protecting structure of a fuel supply tube of an engine is provided to protect the fuel supply tube in a vehicle collision and to prevent a suction manifold from interfering with the fuel supply tube. CONSTITUTION: A protecting structure of a fuel supply tube(5) of an engine comprises an engine body, the fuel supply tube, and a suction manifold. The engine body includes a cylinder head(1) and a ladder cam bracket(2) having an outer frame, a suction cam bracket combined to the outer frame, to support a suction camshaft, and an exhaust cam bracket combined to the outer frame, to support an exhaust camshaft. The ladder cam bracket is fastened on the cylinder head. The fuel supply tube is arranged to the side of the engine body and is extended in a direction of following the line of a cylinder. The suction manifold includes branch parts(7a¯7d) arranged in a type opposite to the engine body with respect to the fuel supply tube. The ladder cam bracket has an outer wall on the side. The outer wall of the ladder cam bracket has projections(21a¯21d) projecting toward the branch parts of the suction manifold in a type of preventing the branch parts from causing interference with the fuel supply tube.
