摘要： The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for conducting an immunoassay. In particular, the present invention relates to a rotatable platform which can be used for conducting an immunoassay, in particular multi-step assays. The present invention provides a rotatable platform adapted to immobilise a first binding partner in one or more discrete areas on a surface of the platform, wherein the first binding partner is selected from an antigen and an antibody or an antigen binding fragment thereof. The method includes binding or immobilising the first binding partner to one or more discrete areas on a surface of the platform and sequentially dispensing onto each discrete area from a point external of the platform a series of reagents, wherein after one or more or all of said dispensing steps said platform is rotated such that any residual or unreacted reagent is substantially centrifugally removed from each discrete area. The invention also relates to apparatus, a kit and the use of the rotatable platform for conducting an immunoassay.

摘要： A combinatorial processing chamber is provided. The combinatorial processing chamber is configured to isolate a radial portion of a rotatable substrate support, which in turn is configured to support a substrate. The chamber includes a plurality of clusters process heads in one embodiment. An insert having a base plate disposed between the substrate support and the process heads defines a confinement region for a deposition process in one embodiment. The base plate has an opening to enable access of the deposition material to the substrate. Through rotation of the substrate and movement of the opening, multiple regions of the substrate are accessible for performing combinatorial processing on a single substrate.

摘要： A method and apparatus for implementing the method is provided. The method involves performing an indirect competitive binding assay on a microarray to identify biological or chemical targets and screen for compounds of interest. The microarray comprises a common ligand located among membrane-, lipid- or protein-associated active binding sites. The method takes advantage of known or well-characterized binding kinetics, and steric interference between biological or chemicals targets of interest and universal readout units for different binding sites within the limited confines of a microspot. The biological targets, chemicals or organisms can specifically bind to target-binding sites, while the universal readout unit binds to the ligands in the microspot.

摘要： A method and catalysts and fuel processing apparatus for producing a hydrogen-rich gas, such as a hydrogen-rich syngas are disclosed. According to the method, a CO-containing gas, such as a syngas, contacts a platinum-free ruthenium-cobalt water gas shift ("WGS") catalyst, in the presence of water and preferably at a temperature of less than about 450°C, to produce a hydrogen-rich gas, such as a hydrogen-rich syngas. Also disclosed is a platinum-free ruthenium-cobalt water gas shift catalyst formulated from: a) Ru, its oxides or mixtures thereof; b) Co, Mo, their oxides or mixtures thereof; and c) at least one of Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Ti, Zr, Cr, Fe, La, Ce, Eu, their oxides and mixtures thereof. The WGS catalyst may be supported on a carrier, such as any one member or a combination of alumina, zirconia, titania, ceria, magnesia, lanthania, niobia, zeolite, perovskite, silica clay, yttria and iron oxide. Fuel processors containing such water gas shift catalysts are also disclosed.
