    • The invention relates to a brake-power transmission device, especially for motor vehicles, comprising an actuated input member (2), an output member (3) to exert a boosting force, especially on a main brake cylinder, and a control valve arranged in a control housing to regulate the boosting force. An axially movable pressure piece (10, 10'. 10") is provided in the area of a reaction member (24). Said pressure piece is supported on the input member or the control housing thereby enabling changes to be made in the power transmission ratio. There is a general need to provide a brake-power transmission device that enables increased boosting only when required and that allows for mechanical sensing of brake actuation speed so that immediate maximum boost force can be exerted when required without any time delay. According to the invention, this is achieved by detachably connecting the pressure element (10, 10', 10") to the control housing (5, 5', 5") by means of a coupling element (16, 40, 54) in order to increase boosting on the basis of a relative movement between the input member (2) and the control housing.

    • The invention relates to a brake booster with a panic braking function, for motor vehicles. Said brake booster comprises a booster housing (1), the inside of which is divided into a first chamber (2) and a second chamber (3) by a moveable wall; and a control housing (8) wherein a control valve (5) is located, said control valve being used to control a pneumatic pressure differential which acts upon the moveable wall, and being activated by means of a control rod. The control valve has a first sealing seat (15), a second sealing seat (16) which is configured on a valve piston (6), and an elastic valve body (10) which interacts with the two sealing seats (15, 16). Means are also provided for generating a rapid increase in the booster power provided by the brake booster when the control valve is activated quickly. The invention is characterised in that the first sealing seat (15) is arranged in such a way that it can move in relation to the control housing (8), and in that means (26) are provided for fixing the sealing seat (15) when the relative displacement between the valve piston (6) and the control housing (8) exceeds a predetermined value, said means (26) then preventing the sealing seat (15) at least from moving in the direction of activation (30). The brake booster with auxiliary braking functions is easy to produce and ensures that the braking power can be regulated in the emergency braking position.
