    • PURPOSE:To perform opening and closing action in accordance with cooling water temperature of an engine with simple constitution, by opening and closing a radiator shutter through a shape memory alloy displaced in accordance with the cooling water temperature. CONSTITUTION:A coil spring-shaped shape memory alloy 1 and a normal spring 2 are built in a cylindrical metallic case 10a protruding in a lower tank 9 of a radiator to constitute a temperature sensing part 10. This alloy 1 is set to contract the overall length when temperature of cooling water in the tank becomes 90 deg.C, and the point end of the alloy 1 is connected to a piston member 3. This member 3 is connected to a slide actuator member 8, which opens and closes opening and closing plates of a shutter 5, through a link mechanism 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system capable of enhancing the driving safety thereof, in particular, for a car.
      SOLUTION: The cooling system, in particular, for a car has a cooler with a cooling air flow circulating therein. The cooling air flow is variable by a device for controlling the cooling air flow. The device has at least one jalousie, and the jalousie is adjusted by an actuator (11) to be driven by a driving unit. In order to enhance the driving safety of the cooling system, the driving device for the actuator (11) has two driving units (21, 22) connected parallel to each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize enhancement of cooling ability and chilling ability and to realize enhancement of fuel economy of the vehicle and prevention of over-heating of an engine by effectively utilizing ability of a condenser and a radiator according to the vehicle traveling state.
      SOLUTION: In the cooling device of the water-cooling type internal combustion engine for the vehicle, the condenser 1 and the radiator 2 are arranged in the order from a front side of the vehicle. The cooling device is provided with a cooling fan 3 for leading cooling air to both members. The condenser and the radiator have an approximately same height and are arranged shifting a position in a height direction such that both members are parallel and a position of the condenser becomes low. An air leading duct 4 is provided on a front side more than an upper surface of the radiator and on a front side more than a lower surface of the condenser and a partition plate 5 is installed from the upper surface of the condenser toward the radiator. A first damper 6 is provided between the upper surface of the radiator and a shroud 31, and a second damper 7 is provided between the lower surface of the condenser and the shroud.
