摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an automatic ventilating window and also to simplify the maintenance of the same, by constituting means for opening and closing the ventilating window by members made of shape memorizing metals which function to close the window when temperature is low but to open the window when temperature is high. CONSTITUTION:Window opening and closing member (or damper) 3 is fitted in window 2 formed in wall 1 in pivotally movable manner by means of bracket 4. A return spring 6 is connected between stopper 5 and lower end portion 3b of damper 3 for urging the damper 3 to its closing direction. Further, an automatic window opening and closing means 10 is also connected between damper 3 and stopper 5. This means 10 consists of actuating members 11, 12, 13 connected in the form of bellows by means of screws 14 and made of shape memorizing metals which are changed to the base structure at a temperature higher than the transformation point and to martensite structure at a temperature lower than the transformation point. By constituting the members 11, 12, 13 by such shape memorizing metals having different transformation points, opening of the damper 3 can be controlled to suit the temperature.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate a loss of the drive power required for the pump, by using a shape storage metal for the impeller substance and changing a shape of the impeller substance and changing a shape of the impeller due to the water temperature. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 1 is constructed by piling together a first shape storage metal 8 changing into a maternal phase construction at the high temperature side and a martensite construction at the low temperature side and a second shape storage metal 9 changing into the martensite construction at the high temperature side and the maternal phase construction at the low temperature side, and fixed by screws 10. At a high temperature, a deformed shape is presented to give a resistance to the water performing a pumping action, while at a low temperature, the shape storage metal 8, being of the martensite construction, is deformed by an encounter with the water resistance due to the rotation of the impeller causing its shape to be of no pumping action, thus to eliminate a loss of the drive power.

摘要： PURPOSE:To open and close a shutter correctly as well as to ensure the degree of freedom for design by using shape-remembering metal thermally changeable in its shape for an operating member of a radiator shutter constructed by arranging a number of shutter straps in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A radiator shutter 5 constructed by providing a number of shutter straps 6 vertically in parallel is arranged in front of a radiator 4. An operating link 9 is pivotted by a pin 10 on an outside frame 8 bearing each shutter strap 6 on both ends via pins 7. It is given an upward force by a return spring 11 on one end, and connected to a shutter 6a and an operating member 12 changeable in its shape respectively through rods 13 and 14 on the other end. The operating member 12 is shaped by using a shape-remembering metal which changes to mother phase structure in the higher temperature side of a transformation point and to malten-cyte structure in the lower temperature side so that the shape may be changed as illustrated for example between the high temperature time A and the low temperature time B of cooling water.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the inexpensive temperature sensitive clutch with simple structure by intermittently controlling the power transmission corresponding to the atmospheric temperature by making use of the form memorizing metal. CONSTITUTION:The input shaft 11 is inserted and fixed in the bush 12 on which the disk shaped housing 13 is press-fitted and fixed, and the form memorizing metal plate 14 and the spring leaf 15 are successively fixed monoblock on the housing 13 with the multi number of screws 16. The form memorizing metal mentioned above is phase-transformed in the solid condition by the temperture change by its crystal structure being changed, and transforms into the matrix structure on the high temperture side and into the martensite structure on the low temperature side. Therefore, the spring leaf 15 is transformed into the arc shape, for instance, which is the same with the metal plate 14 when the atmospheric temperature goes up, and the sliding part 17 is pressed against the friction part 20 of the clutch disk 19 and the torque is transmitted to the clutch disk 19 from the input shaft 11.

CONSTITUTION:A fan blade 1 is constituted by a combined unit of a shape memory metal 2 and a spring material 3 and the both materials are fixed by screws 4. The shape memory metal 2, changing into a materinal phase construction at the high temperature side and a martensite construction at the low temperature side, comes to be in a shape with a large sloped angle for the rotational direction at a high temperature thus providing a more blow amount. At a low temperature, a small sloped angle, feeding a less blow amount, can promote a reduction of the shaft horse power.
