    • The present invention relates to a vehicle-operating apparatus, in which a brake and a member having an acceleration function are coupled to a single rod. The vehicle-operating apparatus of the present invention comprises: a lever which rotates at a predetermined angle in the forward and backward directions about a shaft fixed to a vehicle body so as to move among an acceleration position, a neutral position, and a brake position; manual accelerating means for opening the throttle of an engine so as to enable an acceleration operation of a vehicle when the lever moves to the acceleration position; manual braking means for pushing a booster rod of a brake booster so as to operate the brake to stop the vehicle when the lever moves to the brake position; guide means arranged at the left and right sides of the lever so as to prevent the lever from moving in the left and right directions; manual brake-locking means for continuously maintaining the manual braking means in the activated state; and cruise-control means for enabling the lever to be maintained in the acceleration position, even when a driver takes his/her hand off the lever when the lever is in the acceleration position. According to the present invention, the lever, which is to be operated by the hand of the driver, may operate independently of an existing brake pedal and accelerating pedal, thus enabling the driver to freely select whether driving should be performed using the hand or foot based on the conditions or preference of the driver, thereby significantly improving user convenience.
