    • A corporate/organization communications system includes a number of mobile telephones (MT1...MTm) and a local network which has a private automatic branch exchange PABX (1) with a number of extensions (2). Access units (B1...Bn; CT1...CTn) are connected to the extensions. In accordance with the invention service node (3), referred to as a mobility server, is connected to the PABX as an adjunct thereto and manages all calls to and from the mobile telephones. The mobile telephones (MT1...MTm) are adapted to make outgoing calls to the PABX only. The mobility server checks the services requested in a call from a mobile telephone. If the requested services match a service profile associated with said mobile telephone the mobility server initiates the set up of the requested outgoing call. If they do not match, the outgoing call is rejected. In this manner the company/organization will control all outgoing calls from its mobile telephones. Calls directed to the mobile telephones are managed by a call park, call alert and call back sequence.

    • Systems and methods for distributing data associated with a caller to a mobile device, in which the caller data may be presented by the mobile device upon receiving a first incoming call from the caller, are provided. In some embodiments, an image associated with the caller may be obtained by the mobile device such that the image may be displayed along with other call screening data during a first incoming call from the caller. In some embodiments, termination of the incoming call is held by a service control point while the data is transmitted to the mobile device over a data channel. Once termination of the incoming call is released by the service control point, the mobile device receives the incoming call and may present the data as call screening information. In some embodiments, the data channel may include a warm socket.

    • A first subscriber (30a) activates a hold call back subscriber feature in response to a second subscriber (30b) placing the first subscriber on call hold. After the activation, the first subscriber goes onhook. When the second subscriber later wishes to take the first subscriber off of call hold, a first end office (20a) serving the first subscriber recognizes the second subscriber's action and accordingly alerts the first subscriber back. Upon answering the ring back, a call connection is re-established between the first subscriber and the second subscriber. A connection-less signal is communicated between the first end office and a second end office (20b) serving the second subscriber to queue, monitor, and inform the second subscriber's action. Upon receiving a connection-less signal from the second office indicating that the second subscriber wishes to take the first subscriber off of call hold, the first end office originates another call setup request towards the second subscriber.
