摘要： A material comprising aerogel particles and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) binder is formed having a thermal conductivity of less than or equal to 25 mW/m K at atmospheric conditions. The material is moldable or formable, having little or no shedding of filler particles, and may be formed into structures such as tapes or composites, for example, by bonding the material between two outer layers. Advantageously, composites may be flexed, stretched, or bent without significant dusting or loss of insulating properties.

In an embodiment, a first foam material may be urged through an extrusion channel, and a first coating material may be fed to an applicator in communication with the extrusion channel to apply a visible coating on a region of the outer surface of the foam material. The region is a fraction of a perimeter of the outer surface of the first foam material. In an embodiment, the applicator may be rotated relative to the first foam material to impart a visible helical band on the extruded foam article.

摘要： A core panel or box of rigid plastics microporous foam is provided with parallel spaced passages or thin grooves and is placed within an envelope or bag of flexible multi-layer barrier film impervious to the passage of gas. The bag includes an integral evacuation tubular portion which is releasably coupled to an evacuation nozzle connected by a manifold with solenoid valves to a vacuum pump. After air is substantially evacuated from the foam core and the bag to collapse the bag against the foam core and into the grooves, a vacuum sensor operates a computer which controls the valves for checking the vacuum level within the bag and for optionally admitting an additive gas. Closely spaced grooves within opposite sides of the foam panel provide for bending the evacuated panel, and a thin layer of foam is applied to the outer surface of the vacuum insulated panel to provide a protective outer surface.

摘要： A method for disassembling a discarded refrigerator that uses a foamed resin as a heat insulator according to the present invention includes the processes of cutting and separating a heat-insulating housing of a refrigerator into pieces having a predetermined size and shape; obtaining the foamed resin by passing the pieces between a pair of compression rollers arranged so as to oppose each other and compressing the pieces, thereby peeling off and separating an incompressible plate-like object layered at least on one surface of the pieces; and collecting a foaming gas by passing the foamed resin (301) between a pair of compression rollers (331, 332) arranged so as to oppose each other and compressing the foamed resin, thereby allowing the foaming gas in the foamed resin to leak out. This makes it possible to collect a foaming gas in a heat insulator while maintaining a high concentration with small equipment at low cost.
