摘要： The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a sealing gasket for a refrigerator, which simultaneously uses at least three extruders to form in a single operation a sealing gasket. The extruders simultaneously feed, in an extrusion die, a rigid or semi-rigid polymer, a flexible polymer and a mixture of a binder polymer and a magnetic material, for simultaneously forming the sealing gasket and, wherein a magnetizable zone is fully embedded within the gasket. After the sealing gasket has been formed in the extrusion die, it is cooled in a cooling section and then passed to a magnetization step to cause permanent magnetic fields and to ensure that the sealing gasket is fully magnetized.

摘要： A method of making a cabinet for refrigerators and the like. The method includes forming a liner and a wrapper. The method further includes providing a vacuum insulated core that includes a filler material disposed inside a substantially impermeable envelope that is evacuated to form a vacuum inside of the envelope. The vacuum insulated core includes a first wall and a second wall extending transversely relative to the first wall. The core is adhesively secured to the wrapper, and the liner is adhesively secured to the core. The wrapper and the liner are sealed together at the peripheries thereof.

The door liner is injection molded as a single, integral piece and defines an icebox compartment, an upper hinge assembly, and a lower hinge assembly. An icebox door is rotatably mounted to the upper and lower hinge assembly to insulate the icebox compartment from the fresh food chamber. In this manner, the icebox compartment and the icebox door define a sealed chamber for receiving chilled air from a sealed cooling system.

摘要： A method of reducing the number or size of voids in a polyurethane comprises reacting the formulation components in a container having an inner surface, or having a liner that has an inner surface, that has been modified to reduce the shear forces that normally accompany introduction of such components into a container. This is done by modifying the inner container's or container liner's surface by profiling and/or engraving it, or by including as a liner a mesh. The profiling and/or engraving or mesh serves to alter the formulation's flow dynamics such that the polyurethane has fewer and/or smaller voids, i.e., has a more uniform density, than polyurethanes formed without the modification.
