摘要： A device and a method for preventing over-rotation of an engine are provided to suppress increasing velocity of an engine torque in case where engine RPM is lowered by a shift-up of an automatic transmission and control for preventing over-rotation is released during control for preventing over-rotation of the engine. A device comprises an engine torque control unit, an RPM sensor, an over-rotation prevention unit, an over-rotation prevention releasing unit, and an engine torque increasing velocity restricting unit. The engine torque control unit controls torque of an engine on the basis of a driver request torque. The RPM sensor detects engine RPM. The over-rotation prevention unit suppresses the torque controlled by the engine torque control unit on the basis of the detected engine RPM, and prevents over-rotation of the engine. The over-rotation prevention releasing unit for releasing suppression of torque performed by the over-rotation prevention unit if engine RPM is lower than a predetermined value. The engine torque increasing velocity restricting unit restricts increasing velocity of the torque in cases where suppression of the torque is released by the over-rotation prevention unit and increased, during shifting performed by an automatic transmission.

摘要： A gear shift control apparatus for use in an automatic transmission having friction elements each of which is operable on a working fluid pressure applied thereto in an engaged and released state. A change is produced from the current gear ratio to a desired gear ratio by increasing the pressure of the working fluid to a first one of the friction elements at a first rate to engage the first friction element while decreasing the pressure of the working fluid to a second one of the friction elements at a second rate to release the second friction element. A time elapsed for a torque phase in the gear ratio change is measured. The first rate is decreased when the measured torque phase time is shorter than a predetermined value. The second rate is increased when the measured torque phase time is longer than the predetermined value.

摘要： A coast-sync-coast control method for clutch-to-clutch shifting in which an engine control is employed to synchronize the engine speed with the transmission input speed at a point where the input speed would otherwise exceed the engine speed. The shift is referred to as a coast-sync-coast shift since (1) it is initiated at a coast condition where the input speed is higher than the engine speed, (2) it is completed at a synchronous condition where the speed differential across the on-coming clutch is at or near zero, and (3) a coast condition recurs immediately after the shift.
