구동계에, 엔진과 모터／제너레이터와 클러치와 구동륜을 구비하고, 엔진으로부터의 구동력을, 모터／제너레이터와 체결된 클러치를 통해 구동륜으로 전달하고, 클러치의 개방에 의해 구동륜으로부터 엔진에 가해지는 구동 부하를 무부하 상태로 하는 하이브리드 차량의 제어 장치에 있어서, 엔진이 무부하 상태에서 액셀러레이터 스텝핑 조작이 행해졌을 때, 엔진 토크를 발전 토크로 하는 모터／제너레이터에 의한 토크 흡수가 제한되는 토크 흡수 제한 조건을 만족시킨 경우, 엔진의 회전수를 제한하는 레이싱 제어부를 설치하였다.
