    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide shift control device and method for an automatic transmission for a vehicle reducing shift shock, even if the number of rotation of an output shaft is changed due to an external influence during an upshift control process. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a vehicle operation traveling detection means for detecting a vehicle traveling state signal varied and outputted by a traveling state of the vehicle, a shift control means for outputting a prescribed control signal to a vehicle traveling state detecting device, receiving inputs such as a shift mode state of the vehicle outputted by being synchronized according to a control signal, a throttle valve opening, the number of rotation of the output shaft, engine speed, a shift lever position and an acceleration pedal operating state, performing a power on upshift control when a power on upshift signal is impressed during a traveling, controls a relative change rate of turbine rotating speed for turbine rotating speed after the shift during the control process, and performing a power on upshift feedback control, and a driving means duty-controlled by a prescribed shift control duty control signal outputted from the shift control device and performing a shift by supplying/ releasing hydraulic pressure from an oil pump to/from the friction element.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an engaging shock in time of gear shifting, by temporarily setting one brake free simultaneously with engagement of a certain one clutch in time of discrimination for shifting from parking to reverse, and after the elapse of a specified period of time, making the brake into reengagement. CONSTITUTION:In time of a select valve 33 being situated in a parking position P, each of solenoid valves S1 and S2 is turned to OFF by an electronic control device 60, and a brake B2 is engaged, while a clutch C2 comes into a state of being released. Under this condition, when the solenoid valve 33 is changed over to a reverse position R, the solenoid valve S1 is energized with current as long as (t) seconds by the electronic control device 60 whereby a spool 35 of a 1-2 shift valve 34 is moved upward. Simultaneously with this motion, a spool 37 of a 2-3 shift valve 36 is also moved upward and thereby the clutch C2 is engaged. On the other hand, the brake B2 is set free from restraint, and after the elapse of the (t) seconds, i.e., in time of the clutch C2 being engaged, reengaged, thus a reverse step is formed up.
