SOLUTION: When a brake is operated, this automatic transmission device executes gear shift control so as to facilitate downshift, as deceleration/acceleration of a vehicle increases, determines whether or not downshift from a current gear stage is necessary, and constitute or hold the determined gear stage by a shift actuator. The automatic transmission device drives a clutch actuator in a clutch engagement side and operates an engine brake. In contrast, when the brake is not operated and it is determined that upshift is required, the automatic transmission device executes upshift control or slip control in accordance with whether or not engine torque is less than a predetermined value.

In a medium speed mode, on/off pilot pressure for the directional valve is generated, and an on/off valve 040 is operated which is disposed in a connection line 040L branching from the first branch line, to open the directional valve in a main line of the low pressure section LPS. In a high speed mode, the on/off valve of the directional valve is operated to keep the first outlet X of the pump means at a high pressure level and the second outlet Y of the pump means at a low pressure level.
