      SOLUTION: A shield machine 10 is provided with an excavating body 12 and a cutter head 14. A thrusting shield jack 30 is provided in the excavating body 12. A spreader 50 abutting against a segment 32 is disposed at the extensible end of the shield jack 30. A section where the spreader 50 abuts against the segment 32 is made slidable along the radial direction of a tunnel. The spreader 50 has a body 50a fixed to the end of the extensible plunger 30b, an abutting plate 50b slidably supported by the body 50a in the radial direction of the tunnel and abutting against the segment 32 when the plunger 30b is stretched, and a sliding member 50c interposed between the body 50a and the abutting plate 50b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen an installation interval between center posts without causing an increase in cost, an decrease in workability or the like. SOLUTION: This shield tunnel is equipped with the first and second shield tunnels 10 and 12 whose circular cross sections are equal in diameter to each other, and the circular cross sections are made to overlap each other in a double state. The tunnels 10 and 12 are formed by assembling segments 16, which are split in the axial and circumferential directions of the tunnel, on an excavated surface formed on the rear side of the excavator 14 by excavation of the excavator 14. The tunnel is arranged in such a manner that ends of the circular cross sections overlap each other; an overlapped part is cut off; and upper and lower coupling segment pieces 18 and 20 are arranged in upper and lower joining parts between the segments 16 of the adjacent tunnels 10 and 12. The amount of protrusion of the segment piece 18 to a lower side varies with each segment ring. When the segment pieces 18 are installed in such a manner as to be sequentially adjacent to one another in the axial direction of the tunnel, so as to form an upper beam part 22 of the segments 16, side surfaces along the axial direction of the tunnel are formed in a shape of arches having a prescribed interval in between.

A pressurizing belt 32 constituting the pressurization mechanism 1b is composed of: an endless inner periphery-side belt main body 37 to be arranged on the inner peripheral side; a pressurizing body 38 arranged on the outside of the inner periphery-side belt main body; and an outer periphery-side belt main body 39 which is arranged on the outside of the pressurizing body and opposed to the inner periphery-side belt main body 37 in order to put the pressurizing body 38 between them. The pressurizing body 38 is formed by blowing air as a compressible fluid in the internal space of an endless bag 41 formed from a rubber-based material and arranging a plurality of partition walls 40 for partitioning the internal space in the internal space along the circulation direction of the pressurizing belt 32.
