SOLUTION: This slip controller comprises an open control means controlling the engaged state of a lockup clutch by an open loop control based on the operating state of a vehicle, a slip control means controlling the engaged state of the lockup clutch by the feedback control based on a target slip rotational speed and an actual slip rotation according to the operating state of the vehicle, and an engagement control means switching from the open control means to the slip control means when specified requirements are satisfied. Based on a boundary speed ratio at which a relation between the capacity coefficient and speed ratio of a torque converter becomes a boundary between a linear area and a nonlinear area, the requirements for moving from the open loop control to the feedback control are set up, and based on the actual slip rotational speed and a pump impeller rotational speed, the establishment of the requirements is determined. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for slip of a lockup clutch for a vehicle capable of providing an improved fuel economy in starting the vehicle having a torque converter with a lockup clutch on the output side of an engine. SOLUTION: This controller is so formed that, when the vehicle is started, the lockup clutch 38 is brought into a slip state by a lockup clutch control means 166 and when the vehicle is started, a transmission torque from the engine 12 is transmitted also to a subsequent stage through the lockup clutch 38 in tandem with the transmission thereof to the subsequent stage through the torque converter 14. As compared with a conventional starting in which a power is transmitted only through the torque converter 4, a rise in the rotational speed of the engine 12 in starting the vehicle is suppressed. Accordingly, the cavitation noise generated in the hydraulic pump 80 which generates the base pressure of line pressure at a high rotation of the engine can be prevented.

摘要： A shift control apparatus for use with a continuously variable transmission operable at a speed ratio changed in a plurality of steps for transmitting a drive from the engine to the vehicle wheels. The shift control apparatus is operable in the manual shift control mode for producing an upshift command in response to a driver's upshift demand and a downshift command in response to a driver's downshift demand. An upshift is produced from a current speed ratio to another speed ratio one step higher than the current speed ratio in response to the upshift command and a downshift from the current speed ratio to another speed ratio one step lower than the current speed ratio in response to the downshift command. The transmission speed ratio is corrected to keep the engine speed at or below a predetermined acceptable value. An upper vehicle speed limit value is set for each of the speed ratios to provide a greater first upper vehicle speed limit value for a higher speed ratio. The shift control apparatus is arranged to produce an upshift from the current speed ratio to another speed ratio one step higher than the current speed ratio when the engine speed is at the acceptable value and the vehicle speed exceeds the upper vehicle speed limit value.
