    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the control accuracy of a feedback control in slip locking up. SOLUTION: This slip controller comprises an open control means controlling the engaged state of a lockup clutch by an open loop control based on the operating state of a vehicle, a slip control means controlling the engaged state of the lockup clutch by the feedback control based on a target slip rotational speed and an actual slip rotation according to the operating state of the vehicle, and an engagement control means switching from the open control means to the slip control means when specified requirements are satisfied. Based on a boundary speed ratio at which a relation between the capacity coefficient and speed ratio of a torque converter becomes a boundary between a linear area and a nonlinear area, the requirements for moving from the open loop control to the feedback control are set up, and based on the actual slip rotational speed and a pump impeller rotational speed, the establishment of the requirements is determined.
