    • An electrical fitting in the form of a connector or coupler for connecting an electrical metallic tube or EMT to an electrical box or panel or to one another. A unidirectional locking device is disposed in an outermost chamber and an O-ring is disposed in an intermediate chamber. The unidirectional locking device has gripping tangs. The intermediate chamber and gripping tangs are sized so as to prevent the gripping tangs from contacting the O-ring. A contact shoulder is used on one end of the fitting to prevent excessive compression of a sealing washer. Internal longitudinal radially increasing ribs are formed in the fitting body improving continuity and support for the EMT. A tube support may also be provided to prohibit any undesirable bending movement of the EMT connected thereto.

    • A connection fitting for the fastening of elongated bodies, for example of cables (2) or also hoses, tubes, corrugated hoses and the like, in an opening (3), which can be a through hole or a boring in a wall (4) of a building. The connection fitting includes a clamping collet (9) which, in its operation position, penetrates the opening (3) and is self expanding behind the opening (3), and which, by means of an axial retraction opposite to the direction of insertion, is also radially compressible and thus exerts a clamping force on the elongated body. To effect this motion of retraction, a sheath (11) is provided, which is frictionally connected or force-fit connected with a locking ring (15), which, by rotational movement of the sheath (11) itself turns accordingly and, by its own threading, is axially displaced until the ring (15) abuts the wall (4) on the opening rim (12) and remains there in a stop position. In this way, the respective thickness of the wall (4) is accommodated. A further turning of the sheath (11) using the frictional coupling with the locking ring (15) is possible, so that the clamping collet (9), following the attainment of the stop position of the locking ring (15), can being tensioning or be further tensioned because of corresponding axial dimensioning of the threading. For the user, it is principally necessary, to turn the sheath (11) in a uniform direction, in order to activate an adjustment of the connection fitting to the thickness of the wall and to firmly secure the elongated body (2) with the clamping collet.

    • A cable insertion device comprising a seat having an opening, and an engagement portion extending peripherally around the opening axis, the engagement portion having an outer surface and, recessed relative thereto, an inner surface. The engagement portion is circularly segmented into grip jaws capable of elastic deformation by slots extending right up to the seat. At their connection with the seat, the grip jaws are each fixed therein along a fixing zone tangent to a circumference centered on the seat opening axis, and, with the engagement portion, which is made of relatively rigid material, is associated a sealing member, extending globally transverse relative to the seat opening axis, concealing at least partially the opening, and the sealing member is made of a relatively flexible material. The invention is useful, in particular, for equipping any chamber, such as a cabinet or the like.

    • This invention relates to a fixing device of the kind generally known as a cable gland for anchoring and sealing around a filamentary product such as an electrical cable. The device comprises a body, an annular cap, a clamping ring, and an elastomeric sealing sleeve. The body has a central bore extending its entire length, and is provided with a screw-threaded end portion. The annular cap includes an urging structure, and is threadably mountable on the screw-threaded end portion of the body. The clamping ring includes an annular base member upstanding from which extend a plurality of spaced apart gripping fingers. The sealing sleeve is adapted to be slidably received within the annulus of gripping fingers but to extend outwardly beyond the tips thereof. On insertion the free ends of the fingers slidably engage an inwardly tapered portion of the bore, and the urging structure can act to urge the free ends of the fingers into the tapered portion. The free ends are configured and arranged, on urging to press the sealing sleeve against the cable. The sealing sleeve is bonded to a stiff slip ring.
