    • A cable strain relief for mounting in a supporting wall aperture or the like is provided comprising a grommet and a rotatable clamping means received in said grommet. The grommet and clamping means have aligned cable-receiving passageways. The clamping means includes a flexible clamping band detachably anchored at a distal end to the grommet, and a movable, opposed proximal end integral with said clamping means which is rotatable by said clamping means about the periphery of a cable passing through said grommet and clamping means. In a modified construction two clamping bands each of which has axially offset, opposed portions are provided which simultaneously engage the cable periphery when actuated by the clamping means.

    • A system is provided for connecting a suppressor for eliminating interference from electrical appliances. The system comprises an electrical box provided with a fitting for receiving a suppressor. The suppressor includes a plurality of angularly spaced contact arms. Terminal bodies which define terminal spaces for receiving conductor ends are disposed around the fitting. Terminal screws are provided at the terminal bodies. To electrically connect the suppressor to the conductor ends, the suppressor is inserted into the fitting and then rotated until the contact arms overlie the terminal bodies. The terminal screws are then tightened to simultaneously clamp the conductor ends within the terminal spaces and to clamp the contact arms between heads of the terminal screws and backs of the terminal bodies.

In operation, upon twisting the inner portion with respect to the grommet with a cable received in the passage opening and the free end region of the flexible extension secured to the grommet so as to be prevented from twisting with respect thereto, the flexible extension is twisted to compress against the cable to hold the same in the socket and provide tension relief therefor.
