摘要： A vehicle lowering system having a cargo surface with an adjacent pivoting arm is connected to a vehicle at a pivot point. The pivoting arm moves between a raised and a lowered position by an actuator that is affixed to a frame and the pivoting arm. The frame has an upper portion and a lower portion that provides structure for the portion of the frame that is beyond the pivot point and actuator. The pivot arm has a spindle that holds and allows a wheel to rotate. The spindle has an axis that is always located above the cargo surface. The actuator is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. When the actuator moves between the extended and retracted position, the pivoting arm moves the vehicle between a raised and a lowered position.

A method includes receiving two sets of sensor data from two sets of sensors, where a first set of sensors are located on a roof of a cab of a semi-trailer truck and a second set of sensor data are located on a hood of the semi-trailer truck. The method also receives from a height sensor a measured value indicative of a height of the rear of a rear portion of the cab of the semi-trailer truck relative to a chassis of the semi-trailer truck, determines two correction values, one for each of the two sets of sensor data, and compensates for the movement of the two sets of sensors by generating two sets of compensated sensor data. The two sets of compensated sensor data are generated by adjusting the two sets of sensor data based on the two correction values.

An air supply unit includes a reservoir, a compressor, and an ECU is fluidly connected to the corner assemblies. The air supply unit is capable of independently adjusting the corner assemblies from one another. The air suspension system is operable to place the corner assemblies in a unloading position or a trailer, which corresponds to two of the corner assemblies in raised positions and the other of the two corner assemblies located in lowered positions to create a maximum height differential between the front and rear corner assemblies.

摘要： An adjustable height suspension system for a vehicle is disclosed. A pivot arm has a first end pivotably connected to the vehicle frame about a pivot axis. A shock absorber assembly is connected to the frame at a first connection point and connected to the pivot arm at a second connection point. An air spring is connected to the frame at a third connection point and connected to the pivot arm at a fourth connection point. The fourth connection point is closer to the pivot axis than the second connection point. The air spring has at least one inlet and at least one outlet provided by at least one opening. A valve selectively communicates the interior of the air spring to the atmosphere via the outlet. An adjustable height suspension system having first and second pivot arms and first and second air springs is also described.

摘要： A sensor controlled system includes a ramp docking sensor mountable to a vehicle's rear end and configured to fulfill the functions required for assisting docking of a vehicle to a loading ramp. The ramp docking sensor is further configured to determine a vertical distance of the ramp docking sensor relative to a ground level and to determine a vertical distance between the ground level and a loading ramp sill of the loading ramp. In this system, the ramp docking sensor can also be utilized for height-detection of a cargo hold floor with respect to a ground level without requiring specified sensors for height adjustments.
