    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide especially an improved modular rolling mill about the rolling mill for manufacturing long size goods such as mainly a bar and a plate.
      SOLUTION: The modular rolling mill has a plurality of individual rolling units which are arranged along the mill pass line. Each rolling unit has at least two sets of work rolls 14, 16 defining the pass of an oval and the pass of a round and carried on roll a shaft 18 that are staggered 90° with respect to each other. The rolling units contain intermediate drive trains for connecting the roll shafts to parallel input shafts 20 to each other and projected to the first side of the pass line from each rolling unit.
