    • PURPOSE:To provide a continuous casting device which can produce a steel hoop directly from molten metal by putting belts on guide rolls and cooling rolls which are placed so as to face each other at required intervals respectively and arrayed in a row and supplying the molten steel into the passage for the steel plate formed between the belts. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel 14 is supplied from a tundish 1 through a nozzle 2 into the spacing between both steel belts 9 and 9', and is stored therein. Cooling rolls 5, 5' are rotated at a required peripheral speed, and the belts 9, 9' are unrolled and rolled in synchronization with said peripheral speed. The steel 14 is cooled by coolers 11, 11', rolls 5, 5' and coroles 12, 12' through the belts 9, 9' so that the steel 14 is cooled to solidify along the belts 9, 9'. The solidified layers 15, 15' formed in such a way are fed to the down stream while the layers are grown according to the movement of the belts 9, 9' until the molten steel solidifies thoroughly down to the inside part. The belts 9, 9' are stripped at the point of the time when the solidification is completed or when the layers 15, 15' solidify to a sufficient thickness, and the casting is completed. As a result, the production efficiency is improved considerably, and the manpower and energy of the production line are lessened.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a titled casting device which casts a steel hoop directly from molten steel, can improve production efficiency considerably and lessen the manpower and energy of a production line by the constitution wherein the molten steel is cast in an S shape into the clearance between two pieces of cooling rolls differing in peripheral speed. CONSTITUTION:A cooling roll 1 of upper stream side is rotated at a high speed and a cooling roll 2 of downstream side at a low speed. The molten steel 7 flowing in a molten steel flow passage 4 is cooled with the peripheral surface of the roll 1 to form a solidified layer 8. The layer 8 thereof is grown while it is moved to the side of the clearance between both rolls according to the rotation of the roll 1, and said layer is brought into contact with the roll 2 and is adhered with the solidified layer 12 formed similarly in the clearance part and the adhered layer is cast as a steel plate 3. The moving speeds of both layers 8, 12 give shearing deformation between both layers when the layer 8 adheres tightly to the layer 12 on account of a difference in the peripheral speeds of the rolls 1 and 2, thereby stirring the inside of the plate 3 and preventing the central segregation of non-metal. The molten metal is replenished into the part shrunk in the stage of solidifying by the shearing deformation given in said clearance, whereby the generation of cavity is prevented, the internal texture is fined on account of the shearing deformation and mechanical properties are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a rolling of heavy rolling reduction without increasing roll diameters by supporting a rolling force mainly by both of work and backup rolls and supplementally by both of work-roll and roll chocks. CONSTITUTION:When a rolling load is imposed on a backup roll 1, a part of its fore acts directly on a work roll 2, but the remaining force is transmitted from a roll chock 4 of backup roll 1 to a pressure receiving member, a wedge 5, for supporting the shared rolling load. The remaining force is then transmitted from the wedge 5 to a work roll 2 through a roll chock 3. Accordingly, a large rolling load can be applied even if the roll diameters are not increased, because the contact surface between the rolls 2, 1 is reduced, thus a heavy rolling reduction rolling can be performed.
