摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate variation in output between the respective cylinders so as to control the air fuel ratio at the optimum by each cylinder by varying the fuel injection timing by each cylinder according to the exhaust emission and/or fuel cost of each cylinder in a plural-cylinder engine. SOLUTION: In the scavenging stroke of an engine, air is introduced from a crank chamber through the respective scavenging ports 17a-17c to a combustion chamber on the top side of a piston 11, and with rising of the piston 11, the combustion gas is discharged through an exhaust port 18a. At this time, some of introduced air flows out with the exhaust gas, but a variation in such blow-by quantity between the cylinders 7a is eliminated so as to optimize the air fuel ratio in each cylinder 7a. Therefore, a three-dimensional map previously created according to the cylinders 7a is used to obtain the fuel injection timing for the optimum air fuel ratio according to the detected engine rotating speed and throttle opening, thereby controlling the fuel injection of a fuel injection valve 13.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas extraction port on an exhaust pipe so as to obtain a correct analysis result by opening the exhaust gas extraction port between catalyst and a cooling water discharge part, in an exhaust pipe in which cooling water cooling an exhaust pipe interposed with catalyst is discharged on the way of the exhaust pipe on the downstream side of the catalyst. SOLUTION: The exhaust device of an engine 8 constituting the water jet propeller of a surface traveling boat 1 is constituted of an exhaust manifold 13, an exhaust chamber 14, an exhaust pipe 16, and the like, respectively constructed into double tube construction, and catalyst 20 is arranged inside the connecting part between the exhaust chamber 14 and the exhaust pipe 16. Engine cooling water is let flow in the space of the exhaust device, and discharged from the rear end of the exhaust pipe 16 into an exhaust passage. In such an exhaust device, an exhaust gas extraction port 25 is arranged on the downstream side of a temperature sensor 21 for exhaust gas, on the upper stream side of a cooling water outlet, and over the center line of the exhaust passage, and hence the exhaust gas can be correctly analyzed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance an exhaust muffling effect by providing an elastic guide wall for changing the flow direction of exhaust in a subsidiary exhaust passage in a system comprising a main exhaust passage for guiding exhaust of an engine to a main exhaust port opened below the surface of the water. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 22 is disposed at the central portion of a casing 14 loaded with an engine 16 on the upper portion thereof, and an exhaust pipe 26 connected to an exhaust passage 24 of the engine 16 is opened to a main expansion chamber 23 formed in the cylinder. The main expansion chamber 23 is communicated with below the surface of the water through an exhaust passage 27 disposed under the casing 14 and a main exhaust port 29 formed on a boss portion 28 of a propeller 19, and a main exhaust passage is formed by the above respective elements 23, 24, 27. Further, the main expansion chamber 23 is communicated with below the surface of the water or in the air through a subsidiary exhaust passage 30 formed on the casing 14 and the cylinder 22 and a subsidiary exhaust port 31. In this case, an elastic wall 38 is provided opposite to a pore-like passage 32 of a subsidiary expansion chamber 33 forming the subsidiary exhaust passage 30 to damp wave energy of exhaust.
