SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device comprises the high-tension treatment part 40 in the exhaust gas route of an internal combustion engine. The device comprises a water drain pipeline 4 connecting a recovery port 2 disposed in the exhaust gas route on the outside of the high-tension treatment part 40 to an exhaust port 3 disposed in the exhaust gas route on the downstream side of the high-tension treatment part 40.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system structure capable of improving the impact absorption property of an exhaust system during a collision of a vehicle and enhancing the safety performance.
      SOLUTION: In the exhaust system 10, catalyst converters 3, 4, a center pipe 5, a muffler 6, a tail pipe 8, and a gas outlet 9 are continuously provided on a front pipe 2 connected to an exhaust manifold provided on an engine 1. The center pipe 5 and the tail pipe 8 have two bends 51, 52 and bends 81, 82, respectively, and straight pipe runs 53, 83 located therebetween are connected to the muffler 6 so as to be diagonally penetrated in a side wall on the same side as the muffler 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce contamination in exhaust while minimizing addition of new parts. SOLUTION: On a tip of a water supply pipe 18 connected in the middle of piping 16 downstream of a water pump 12 and upstream of a radiator 15, a spray nozzle 19 is installed. The spray direction of the spray nozzle 19 is set into an exhaust pipe 17 in the flow direction of exhaust. Cooling water W flowing into the water supply pipe 18 is sprayed from the spray nozzle 19 into the exhaust pipe 17 by delivery action of the water pump 12. Mist water sprayed into the exhaust pipe 17 gets in gas-liquid contact with exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe 17. Water after getting in gas-liquid contact with the exhaust gas hits on separation plates 20 and 21 to drop onto a water receiving container 22.
