      SOLUTION: The lubricating oil dilution control device of the internal combustion engine is provided with a piston, an oil jet, a means of controlling a lubricating oil injection amount, and the means of detecting the degree of dilution of the lubricating oil. The oil jet injects the lubricating oil toward the piston, and the means of controlling the lubricating oil injection amount controls the injection amount of the lubricating oil which is injected from the oil jet. The means of detecting the degree of dilution of the lubricating oil detects the degree of dilution of the lubricating oil which is diluted with fuel. The means of controlling the lubricating oil injection amount adjusts the injection amount of the lubricating oil from the oil jet in accordance with the degree of dilution of the detected lubricating oil. Because of this, the lubricating oil is heated more easily by the piston, and a fuel evaporation component which is contained in the fuel mixed with the lubricating oil evaporates. Thus the proportion of the lubricating oil to the mixture of the fuel and the lubricating oil can be increased. As a result, the lubricating oil of which the mixing amount of the fuel has decreased is made available for the lubrication of the internal combustion engine, thus the occurrence of the lubrication failure of the internal combustion engine or the like can be prevented.
