    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a large multi-parallel capacity unit of a self-arc- extinguishing semiconductor switch element 10 effectively utilizing the capacitance of a single element 10 with a small economic load. SOLUTION: A unit, having filter capacitors 11U connected to both ends of one parallel/multi-parallel conversion modules (10UP, 10UN) is used as a basic unit. Such basic units are connected in multi-parallel with respective phases. The respective basic units are wired as follows. A large floating wiring impedance 13U, intrinsic to the basic units is interposed between the basic units and DC terminals 2PT/2NT. A small floating wiring impedance 14U is interposed between the capacitor 11U and the conversion module (10UP/10UN) in the basic unit. The large floating wiring impedance 13U to DC terminal 2PT/2NT is intrinsic to each basic unit and is operated to correct a current balance of the basic units. However, since the electromagnetic energy storage thereat is absorbed by the capacitor 11U at turning off, it is not the load on a current cut-off capability of the switch element 10U.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable MOSFET rectifying operation which is not affected by a power generation condition from a start of an engine in a rectifier 2 having a MOSFET.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a serial multiplex inverter where a plurality of single-phase cell inverters are connected in series on an output side by providing a smoothing capacitor between a forward converter that converts AC into DC and an inverter that converts DC into AC. SOLUTION: The DC input current Idcu-Idcw of each single-phase inverter is calculated, and the current value is used to estimate variation ΔVdcu-ΔVdcw of the DC input voltage of each single-phase inverter for correcting output voltage command Vu * -Vw * of each phase of the inverter. The electric power supplied to a load from the smoothing capacitor by the single-phase inverter fluctuates by twice the AC output frequency. So, the input current and voltage of DC is easy to fluctuate much, and reducing the capacitance of the smoothing capacitor makes fluctuation of the DC voltage further large for easier occurrence of fluctuation in the torque of a dynamo electric motor. By estimating this without a DC voltage detecting means for effectively correcting a voltage command, the torque fluctuation is suppressed, resulting in a smaller power converter.
