    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of complicating switching processing of a power source, due to requiring to switch a physical circuit and to switch even control of a converter, when intruding into a non-electrified section from an electrified section, and when intruding into the electrified section from the non-electrified section, in a driving system for commonly using the converter to a plurality of electric power sources.SOLUTION: A driving system comprises: a first step of opening a contactor between an overhead power line and a converter, by stopping a switching operation of the converter when switching an AC side of the converter to a generator from the overhead power line; a second step of starting the switching operation for converting a single phase AC to a DC by the converter by closing the contactor between the generator and the converter; and a third step of permitting torque output from the generator.
