      SOLUTION: In this device 10, a screen 32 fitted into an opening 30 formed in the front part 20 of the instrument panel 16 and a projector 40 for projecting, while enlarging images in relation to the screen 32, are separately constituted. A space 52 is formed between the screen 32 and the projector 40. Since the screen 32 is required to just display images projected from the projector 40, the thickness dimension can be sufficiently thinned. By the thinning, a top plate part 18, etc. of the instrument panel 16 does not become an obstacle when the screen 32 is fitted into the opening 30. As a result, the degree of freedom in design such as the shape of the instrument panel 16 is improved.

Thus, the motor generator MG2 can continuously be driven while an increase of passing current of the phase where the short fault occurs is suppressed without adding a new apparatus structure.
