    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device of an electric motor which can suppress deterioration of rotation efficiency of the electric motor due to surplus oil which is not used for cooling a rotor of the electric motor.SOLUTION: A first weir part 32d and a second weir part 32e projecting inward for forming an oil storage region A including an oil hole 32c for cooling in a shaft center C2 direction are provided in a longitudinal hole 32a of a rotation axis 32. A discharge hole 32f for directly discharging oil exceeding the first weir part 32d into a transaxle case 34 is provided in parallel with the oil hole 32c for cooling. When the oil exceeds the first weir part 32d and overflows from the oil storage region A, the surplus oil which is not used for cooling a rotor 54 is directly discharged from the discharge hole 32f into the transaxle case 34, thereby suppressing supply of the surplus oil to a bearing 46 via a lubrication oil path 62. Therefore, deterioration of rotation efficiency of an electric motor MG1 due to the surplus oil which is not used for cooling the rotor 54 is suppressed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a driving unit for vehicles, which properly supplies lubricating coolant to a rotor support bearing and a rotary electric machine while suppressing the increase in the case size and manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine overlapped wall 71 includes a supply passage 52 in which lubricating coolant circulates. Further, a first supply portion 31 is formed in the supply passage 52 to serve as a supply portion of the lubricating coolant to a rotor support bearing 9 which supports a rotor 11a of a rotary electric machine 11. The first supply portion 31 includes a restricting portion 31a having a passage cross section area which is smaller than that of the upstream side in the flow direction of the lubricating coolant.
