    • PURPOSE:To fabricate a small superconducting motor with high assembling performance without sacrifice of airtightness by disposing a cryogenic unit provided with a superconducting magnet in a recess formed by a tubular section arranged on the outer periphery and a first end wall having a central shaft hole to be fixed to one end of the tubular section. CONSTITUTION:A liquid helium tank 26 is disposed in an enclosed annular space defined by a casing 1 and a partition wall 6. The liquid helium tank 26 is enclosed by a tubular outer wall 27, side walls 28, 29, and a ribbed inner cylindrical tube 30 and a stator 10 is disposed oppositely to an inner rotor 11. A superconducting magnet 32 comprising a superconducting coil is disposed in the liquid helium tank 26 while being immersed thoroughly in the liquid helium. The superconducting magnet 32 is supported by the ribbed inner cylindrical tube 30 and the outer cylindrical tube 31. Since the superconducting magnet 32 is held in cryogenic state, enclosed space defined by the casing 1 and the partition wall 6 is held in vacuum state.
