    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust treatment device for a diesel engine that makes it possible to lower NOx concentration in emitted gas.SOLUTION: To solve the foregoing problem, provided is an exhaust treatment device for a diesel engine, in which an exhaust flow divider 2 is provided to an exhaust channel 1, exhaust 3 is divided by the exhaust flow divider 2 into an EGR gas 4 which has an uneven distribution of PM, and a remainder of emitted gas 5, the EGR gas 4 is refluxed to a combustion chamber 6 and the emitted gas 5 is emitted to the atmosphere side, wherein the following are carried out: a first corona discharge passage 7 and second corona discharge passage 8 are provided to the exhaust flow divider 2; electron attachment of PM, water vapor, and oxygen in the exhaust 3 are provoked by corona discharging in the first corona discharge passage 7, and the exhaust 3 is divided by electrostatic force into the EGR gas 4, which has an uneven distribution of the electron-attached PM, water vapor, and oxygen, and the remainder of the emitted gas 5; and the emitted gas 5 is guided to the second corona discharge passage 8, and dissociation of the gas molecules of the emitted gas 5 is provoked by corona discharging in the second corona discharge passage 8 to reduce the NOx in the emitted gas 5 to nitrogen.
