    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling acceleration/deceleration of a vehicle which effectively reduces a re-contact speed and/or a transmitting torque between power transmission members on the upstream and downstream sides in a power transmission path with respect to a slack between the power transmission members irrespective of the degree of acceleration/deceleration, to provide an apparatus for executing the method, and to provide a vehicle on which the apparatus is mounted. SOLUTION: In the method, information is detected regarding a rotational speed of an input shaft of a target section in the power transmission path, the target section being so defined as to be reduced in the at least one of the contact speed and the transmitting torque, a relative rotational position between the input shaft and an output shaft of the target section is calculated from the detected information relating to the rotational speed of the input shaft, and at least one of the input shaft and the output shaft is accelerated or decelerated so as to reduce the at least one of the contact speed and the transmitting torque between the power transmission members from the calculated relative rotational position.     • PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption as well as to make driving feeling better by controlling a gear shift position by considering vehicle load. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration detector 5, a car speed detector 6 and a load detector 7 are provided on an automatic speed change gear 1 for vehicle, and acceleration signal A and car speed signal V are input to the load detector 7. Then, changing amount of an accelerator pedal AP and acceleration of a car are detected and magnitude of load of the car of the time is detected based on the result detected, and a load signal L showing magnitude of the load is output in a control operating unit 8, and gear shift position is controlled by considering load of the car. Then change of gear change characteristic in accordance with the loading amount of cargo of the car and the inclinating condition of running roads is automatically made, so better driving feeling can be obtained regardless of load condition and fuel consumption can be improved.
