    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve NOx purification characteristics in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine includes: a DPF 16 for collecting PMs in exhaust gas; an urea water injection device 21 for injecting urea water into the exhaust gas; an SCR 22 for reducing and removing NOx in the exhaust gas; electrostatic capacity detection units 17a, 17b, 41 for detecting electrostatic capacity of the DPF 16; a DPF temperature estimation part 43 for estimating internal temperature of the DPF 16 on the basis of the electrostatic capacity; and a regeneration control part 44 for executing forced regeneration of the DPF 16. Based on a target lower limit temperature that causes combustion of the PMs to start and a target upper limit temperature that enables prevention of filter erosion, the regeneration control part 44 executes the forced regeneration by fuel supply amount for causing the internal temperature to be the target lower limit temperature when the internal temperature is an SCR activation temperature or higher, and executes the forced regeneration by fuel supply amount for causing the internal temperature to be the target upper limit temperature when the internal temperature is lower than the SCR activation temperature.
