    • PURPOSE:To increase the minimum ground height of a car by suspending and supporting a parallel movement mechanism with a shock absorber and positioning a propeller shaft required for the running of the car at a minimum in the periphery of the car. CONSTITUTION:An axle holder 22 that supports the axle 21 of a rear wheel 4 so as to freely rotate is mounted on the rear of a trailing arm 24 that is supported on a bracket 242 through an axis 23 and a shock absorber 26 is provided between an axle 25 protruded in the rear inner end of the arm 24 and an upper pipe 202. The outer shaft 13 of a mission mechanism 12 and the inner end of the axle 21 are connected using a propeller shaft 31 and a parallel movement mechanism 61 is comprised with the shaft 31 and a link 42. Since this parallel movement mechanism 61 is suspended and supported by the shock absorber 26, only the shaft 31 required for the running of a car at a minimum is located in the periphery of the axle 21 and a member such as a lower arm does not exist.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate favorable torsional deformation in a suspension arm and reduce bending deformation therein in the case where torsional stress is applied to the suspension arm. SOLUTION: The suspension arm 10 with one end connected to a vehicular body 14 and with the other end connected to a wheel support member 18 has a pair of spaced-apart arm members 20, 22, wherein a pair of the arm members 20, 22 works together with each other so as to define a center line 24 of the suspension arm therebetween.
