    • PURPOSE:To prevent toe-out rotary displacement at the time of braking by connecting the rear end of a trailing arm and a wheel holding member capable of rotating round an axis in a longitudinal direction and in a coaxial directions and properly setting the position of its connecting portion. CONSTITUTION:A suspension device is constructed by a wheel holding member 2 for holding a wheel 1, three lateral links extended in the direction of the width of a vehicle and the outer end of which is connected to the wheel holding member 2 and a trailing arm 9 extended in the fore and rear direction of the car body. The rear end of the trailing arm 9 is, rotatably round axis 14 up and down direction and in a coaxial direction connected to the force elongated portion 2a of the wheel holding member. From a plan view, its connecting portion is positioned on a straight line which crosses the pivotting portion 10 of the front end of the trailing arm 9 to the central point P for holding the wheel or the outside of the body. At the time of braking, the toe-out rotary displacement of the wheel is prevented to aim at improvement of running stability.

    • PURPOSE:To set the toe variation of a wheel optionally without using other parts such as link by spirally providing an elastic rubber between the outer surface of an inner cylinder and the inner surface of an outer casing. CONSTITUTION:The outer casing 11 of a suspension bush 10 is fixed to the front end part of a trailing arm 1, and the inner cylinder is fixed to a blanket 6. A spiral elastic rubber 13 is fixed between the outer surface of said inner cylinder 12 and the inner surface of the outer casing 11 by adhesion or pressure adhesion. In this rear suspension, when a wheel 4 is bounded upward, the trailing arm 1 is rotated upward with the front end part as an intersection. Hence, the outer casing 11 is rotated in the direction C relatively to the inner casing 12, and the elastic rubber is twisted to displace the outer casing 11 in the axial direction (direction D). Thus, the rotating surface P of the wheel 4 is changed to the direction E, or the toe-in direction, forming a bump toe-in tendency, and the running stability is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure smooth operation even though longitudinal force is exerted to wheels, by journalling a trailing arm and a wheel support member to each other through a specific swingable shaft which is laid so as to be offset with respect to a specific line. CONSTITUTION:A suspension device 1 comprises three lateral links 6 through 8 which are extended in the vehicle-widthwise direction and are journalled at their both ends to a support member 2 for a wheel 3 and a vehicle body, and a trailing arm 5 which is extended in the vehicle-longitudinal direction and is journalled to at both ends to the vehicle body and the support member 2. In this arrangement, the trailing arm 5 and the support member 2 are journalled to each other through a swingable shaft 22 having a center axis X laid in the longitudinal direction of the trailing arm 5. The swing shaft 22 is laid so as to be offset vertically from the center axis of the trailing arm 5 in the vehicle side journalling part, that is, the line connecting between the horizontal shaft 11 and the rotational center G.
