    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a beam which can correctly prevent the generation of a crack caused by a notch or the like generated upon the production of a blank material by simple production.
      SOLUTION: In the first molding process where the main molding region 22a of a blank material 21 is subjected to primary molding, end side regions 22b are temporarily bent to a spreading direction reverse to the bending direction of the main molding region 22a. In this way, by the same press process using the same dies 31u, 31l as those in the primary molding to the main molding region 22a, flanges 11 for tucking the edge faces (cutting faces) of the blank material 21 are molded at the end side regions 22b. Then, in the second molding process where the main molding region 22a is subjected to secondary molding, the temporary bending of the end side regions 22b is restored. In this way, by the same press process using the same dies 32u, 32l as those in the second molding to the main molding region 22a, the flanges 11 are made to turn inward to the open edge parts of a torsion beam 10.
