摘要： The present invention is directed to methods to harvest, integrate and exploit nanomaterials, and particularly elongated nanowire materials. The invention provides methods for harvesting nanowires that include selectively etching a sacrificial layer placed on a nanowire growth substrate to remove nanowires. The invention also provides methods for integrating nanowires into electronic devices that include placing an outer surface of a cylinder in contact with a fluid suspension of nanowires and rolling the nanowire coated cylinder to deposit nanowires onto a surface. Methods are also provided to deposit nanowires using an ink-jet printer or an aperture to align nanowires. Additional aspects of the invention provide methods for preventing gate shorts in nanowire based transistors. Additional methods for harvesting and integrating nanowires are provided.

摘要： Belt weatherstrip moulding (10) for motor vehicles or other motor vehicle trim may be made of separate inner and outer components (14, 16). The inner component may be a base component (14) which is extruded in a flexible material such as an elastomeric material which may be rubber or rubbery materials and which partially envelops an elongate core (24) which is rigid with respect to the extruded material. Preferably the core (24) is aluminium or less preferably stainless steel, galvanized steel or zinc coated steel or it may be a rigid thermoplastic material. The elongate core (24) has an exposed face (25) for attachment to the outer moulding. The outer component (16) is an outer decorative skin and is an injection moulding, preferably polyurethane, although other plastics material may be used. The inner and outer mouldings (14, 16) are adhered together through double sided adhesive tape (18). It is possible to attach the composite moulding (10) to a vehicle body by means of only one fixed mounting and a number of other mountings which allow relative movement between the vehicle body and the composite trim member to compensate for relative differences in expansion and contraction between the vehicle body and the trim.

摘要： A composite channel-shaped trim strip (10) for application to a flange (17) such as around the doors and windows of automotive vehicles, and a method for fabricating the trim strip (10). A perforated stiffener (11) is incorporated in the trim strip to impart shape retention while facilitating bending and distortion thereof to the desired configuration. A rigid barrier member (25) is interposed between the perforated stiffener (11) and the corresponding external surface of the trim strip (10) as the trim strip (10) is fabricated to prevent carryover of the perforate pattern of the stiffener (11) to the external surface. An aesthetically pleasing pattern may then be embossed upon the surface.
