    • A transducer includes a linear input power source (12) connected to a connecting rod (24) in turn connected to output drive shafts (30 & 36) through one-way clutches (28 & 40), with the output drive shafts being interconnected through gears (32 & 40) such that when one shaft is powered, the other is coasting. The power source includes multiple stern powered cylinders (16 & 94). Inlet and outlet valves (44) for each cylinder chamber are controlled by an actuator (56) which instantaneously snaps the valves between open and closed positions. The power cylinders (16 & 94) may be operated individually, in parallel or in series and as required, a valve passageway through the piston (18) may be operated to equalize pressure. A pair of O-rings (121) on the piston (18) engage the cylinder wall only when the adjacent chamber is pressurized, thereby reducing drag in operation of the piston.

    • The internal combustion engine as per the present invention is applicable in the automotive industry, shipbuilding, railway transport, aircraft industry, operating of stationary units, etc. The engine is defined by high efficiency, minimized dimensions and weight. The internal combustion engine comprises cylinders with pistons (1). At the lower part of each piston (1) there is a opening where via piston pin a rack rod (4) with regular shape is fitted, and on all sides of each rack rod teeth (5) with trapezoid or other profile are made, where between inner sides of the respective pair of rack rods (4) a distribution gear wheel (6) is situated and engaged to the teeth (5) on the inner sides of both rack rods (4). On the front and the back side of the rack rods (4) gear wheels (7) of the output power shafts (8) are engaged, and they are fitted to the output power shafts (8) by means of one- way clutch bearings (9). In the bottom end of the engine a straight return shaft (10) is centrally fitted, whereon circular lobes (13) are immovably eccentrically fitted, on external surface of which bearings (11) roll, fitted to the respective lower end of the respective rack rod (4), whereas a gear (14) is fitted to the return shaft (10) engaged to the camshaft of the internal combustion engine.

    • The invention relates to an engine for converting the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the main shaft with rack, gear and ratchet and controlling the valves with magnet and computer.     • A compact, high output free-piston engine is described. The engine can be configured in radial and other configurations to increase energy density. The engine can comprise one or more pairs of opposed pistons. One piston can be used to derive work via internal combustion or an external heat source. The opposing piston can be disposed in a cylinder of fixed or variable volume to act as an air spring. In the configuration, the two pistons can act as a spring-mass system with a natural, or resonant, frequency. The one or more pairs of pistons can be coupled to a driveshaft using a one-way clutch to convert the reciprocal translations of the two pistons into rotary movement. The engine can be coupled to an advanced, highly efficient electrical generator to provide for the efficient localized production of electricity.
