Slip disks (30a to 30ad) are made of flexible plastic material, and retainer ring (40) being made of low friction plastic material. Retainer ring (40) is snapped closed once slip disks (30a to 30ad) are in place. A right rim (20) and a left rim (50) are placed abutting each other. The tire comprises a tire made of substantially inelastic material that will not stretch under a load. Thus, the tire will flatten under a load to provide a high level of traction on soft and irregular surfaces, as well as on hard and flat surfaces. The tire includes protrusions on its inner diameter surface for securely engaging the wheel. The wheel includes a rim that supports the tire and includes protrusions for engaging the protrusions of the tire in an interdigitating manner. The interdigitating engagement of the protrusions on the tire with the protrusions on the wheel prevents slippage and rotation of the tire relative to the wheel. The wheel also includes support flanges that extend radially inward from the rim in order to protect the tire from damage as the tire deforms under a load.

摘要： The invention is directed to novel wheels useful for various products including strollers, vehicles for children, carts, luggage trollies and bags, tricycles, bicycles and toys, and methods of production. The novel wheel comprising a flexible annular segment manufactured by a blow molding process, said segment having at least one layer made of a thermoplastic elastomer; and a wheel hub configured to support the flexible annular segment from each of its sides and to create a cylinder for insertion of an axle therethrough so as to allow connection of the wheel to other components of a product. In one alternative implementation of the invention, the flexible annular segment manufactured is manufactured by extrusion molding process. The invention is further directed to methods for manufacturing the novel wheel.

The wheels are preferably set at a high positive camber angle. Letting the wheels swivel materially improves handling on rough terrain. The trolley is preferably foldable to save space when being transported or stored.
