摘要： The disclosure provides methods to synthesize graphene based hetero-nanostructures, the graphene based hetero-nanostructures resulting therefrom, and devices comprising the graphene based hetero-nanostructures thereof. Disclosed herein are methods to fabricate atomically defined graphene nanostructures through a controlled ring-opening alkyne metathesis polymerization. The methods of the disclosure utilize a chain-growth polymerization that provides absolute control over the length, width, and symmetry; the doping pattern; and the segmentation of linear or cyclic graphene based heteronanostructures. Ring strained cycloalkynyl monomers are subjected to ring-opening alkyne polymerization conditions in the presence of a molybdenum ring-opening alkyne metathesis polymerization (ROAMP) catalyst.

An alternative composition results from the reaction of a compound of titanium, zirconium, hafnium or aluminium with (a) glycerol and (b) either: (i) acetylacetone or (ii) hydrogen peroxide, an inorganic base and water. The composition is useful in applications requiring water- stable metal chelates, particularly as a catalyst for esterification and polyurethane reactions.

The group Z is a two-electron donor ligand, M is a metal and OR is selected from the group consisting of OH, alkoxy and aryloxy. The substrate may be carboxylated at a C-H or N-H bond. 摘要： A low cost, viable and modular method to prepare new, highly selective "catalytic membranes" and their use in various types of reactors is described. The membranes are versatile and reusable with negligible catalyst leaching, particularly in the asymmetric hydrogenation of substituted α, β-unsaturated acids or esters. The membranes comprise a hybrid inorganic/polymeric support material (i) and a molecular catalyst (ii) immobilized onto them, wherein: - (i) consists of a hybrid inorganic/polymeric compound in which inorganic compounds and organic polymers are chemically combined; - the inorganic compound is at least one selected from silicic, tungstic, molybdic and stannic acid compounds; - the organic polymers have hydroxy groups, preferably being polyvinylalcohol (PVA); - (ii) is a preformed metal catalyst, which contains at least one transition metal selected from Ru, Rh, Pd, Ir, Ni, Pt, Au and at least one chiral ligand selected from phosphino, amino and/or amino-phosphino species, preferably DIOP, BINAP Monophos or TMBTP.

摘要： Bimetallic catalyst precursors are manufactured from a plurality of molybdenum atoms and a plurality of atoms of a secondary transition metal (e.g., one or more of cobalt, iron, or nickel). The molybdenum atoms and the secondary transition metal atoms are each bonded with a plurality of organic anions (e.g., 2-ethyl hexanoate) to form a mixture of an oil-soluble molybdenum salt and an oil-soluble secondary transition metal salt. The molybdenum and/or the secondary transition metals are preferably reacted with the organic agent in the presence of a strong reducing agent such as hydrogen. To obtain this mixture of metal salts, an organic agent is reacted with the molybdenum at a temperature between about 1000C and about 3500C. The secondary transition metal is reacted with the organic agent at a different temperature, preferably between 500C and 2000C. The metal salts are capable of forming a hydroprocessing metal sulfide catalyst in heavy oil feedstocks.
