    • A TV signal switching system (10) including a switch (12) configured to be connected to two or more signal sources such as a DVD player, VCR, satellite receiver, cable TV connection, VHF/UHF antenna, computer, Web TV and other internet interfaces, TiVo and other digital recording and playback systems, game console, a live feed from a video camera or other image capture device, or other TV signal source, and connectable to a remote TV monitor (28) by a coaxial cable (22) or equivalent, and a switch controller (34) located adjacent the remote TV configured to select a signal source for the remote TV monitor by signaling the switch over the coaxial cable to connect the desired signal source (14, 16, 18, or 20) to the remote TV monitor. The signaling is done by sending a digital signal over the coaxial cable, which can be a series of pulses indicative of the desired source to be connected, whereupon the switch connects the desired input to the remote TV monitor coaxial cable. More than one remote TV monitor (28, 30, 32) and switch controller (34, 36, 38) can be included, each location connected by a coaxial cable (22, 24, 26) to the switch (12) and the signal source selectable by each remote location TV monitor switch control unit being connected independent of what source, even the same source, is connected to one or more other of the connected TV monitors and control units located by them at remote locations.

    • The present invention expedites cross polarization of a polarized signal from a transmitter such as a satellite. According to one method, an antenna is oriented to point to a first window (152) to communicate with a first satellite. The antenna is peaked to find a first vector (182) for maximum signal strength. The antenna is then oriented to point to a second window to communicate with a second satellite, and peaked to find a second vector for maximum signal strength. The first and second vectors are manipulated to obtain a third vector extending between the first and second satellites, and the skew angle for cross polarization of the antenna is derived from the third vector. Alternatively, the antenna may have two LNB's to permit peaking of the first and second satellites simultaneously. When both satellites are peaked, the antenna will automatically be disposed at the proper skew angle for cross polarization.
