    • There is described a method for separating organic waste. In order to achieve an energy saving separation whereby useful nutritive salts and fertilizer products are formed, firstly, a separating of larger particles from the organic waste which preferably is manure, takes place. Thereafter, the manure is digested under the forming of gases. The digested waste is conducted to a degasser where volatile substances in the form of carbon dioxide and ammonia are removed simultaneously with the separation of nutritive salts for utilization. Thereafter an osmotic filtration of the liquid fraction is performed. A residual fraction from the osmotic filtration is conveyed back to an evaporation and concentration process in order to save energy. A concentration is performed whereby it becomes possible to separate nutritive salts and to remove a residual fraction of ammonia. The gases formed by the digestion are utilized in a power/heating plant and creates energy for the evaporation and concentration step. Residual energy from the concentration step is used for the degassing process.

    • An apparatus for treating emulsified liquids using a minimum of energy, comprising a tube heat exchanger (4) placed in an evaporation chamber (1). A sump (3) for emulsified liquids is placed under the tube heat exchanger (4). A compressor (36) leads vapour from the evaporation side of the heat exchanger to the condensing side while it simultaneously gives off a certain amount of energy to the vapour. The apparatus is working according to the vapour compression principle. When operating the apparatus the difference of the temperature between the evaporation and condensation is kept within a narrow temperature range, just as the pressure differences between the sump and the evaporation chamber are kept within a narrow pressure range. Accordingly, it will be possible to supply a small amount of energy in order to perform an evaporation, compression as well as a condensation.

    • In a system for recovering of refrigerants the refrigerant is sucked into a separator container (2) by the action of a compressor (8), which forces the compressed gaseous refrigerant through filters (22, 28) for removing oil and humidity from the gas. Care is taken to keep the temperature low at the suction side of the compressor for effective withdrawal of refrigerant from the refrigerant source, and the moisture adsorbing filter (28), which is periodically dried or renewed, is initially, by each drying or renewal, subjected to a suction for removing remaining gas therefrom, this gas being recycled and thus prevented from escaping to the atmosphere. An oil mist filter (22) is placed upstream of the moisture adsorbing filter (28) for keeping the adsorption efficiency high. The purification of the refrigerant in the gaseous phase thereof can then be highly qualified.

    • A vapour which is to be led through a vapour pipe (10), is treated for drops by means of a device (14). The device (14) is constituted of two circular disks (18, 19), at the periphery of which a net (17) is attached. The device (14) rotates with such a rotary velocity that the peripheral velocity of the radial outer end of each opening in the net (17) exceeds the penetrating velocity of the vapour and consequently that of the drops/foam through the net. Hereby, the drops will be prevented from passing through the openings so that only pure vapour passes through a vapour extraction opening (9, 9'), which is positioned inside a casing (26), which is formed by the net (17) and the disks (18, 19). The rotating device (14) may also be used to reduce foam on the surface (15) of a liquid (4), which is boiled in a vessel (3). Hereby, foam is prevented from reaching the vapour extraction opening (9, 9').
