    • Apparatus for installing a ground light such as an airfield ground light. The apparatus includes a preformed plug portion which is receivably mountable in a hole in a surface in which the ground light is to be mounted. The apparatus also includes a mounting plate which is embedded in the plug portion. A top portion of the plug can be removed to expose the mounting plate for mounting the ground light thereon. The apparatus can be made using a mould. A method of installing a ground light includes receiving the described plug portion in a hole in a surface in which the ground light is to be mounted. The method also includes cutting the top portion away from the plug portion to expose the mounting plate. The method further includes mounting the ground light on the mounting plate.

    • A method for authenticity verification. The method can comprise conducting a transaction between first and second parties, the parties being respectively located at first and second locations remote one-another, the outcome of the transaction being the provision by the first party to the second party of the right to an entitlement token. Following the transaction outcome, data describing a written format for the entitlement token can be transmitted from the first party to the second party. The entitlement token can be written at the second location using the data describing the written format. The method can further comprise creating a first signature for the written entitlement token at the second location, the signature being based upon an intrinsic property of the written entitlement token, and storing the first signature in a signature database. Further, the method can comprise creating a second signature for the written entitlement token at a third location remote from the second location, the second signature being based upon the intrinsic property of the written entitlement token; and comparing attributes of the second signature with attributes of the first stored in the database to verify the authenticity of the written entitlement token.

    • The present disclosure teaches provision of a method for an aerosol provision device. The method comprises operating a wireless communication interface of the aerosol provision device in a listening mode. During operation of the listening mode, data is received data from the wireless communication interface of an other aerosol provision device. The received data is stored in a memory of the aerosol provision device. A connectionless-state advertising packet that includes information relating to an identity and advertising state of the aerosol provision device is created using the wireless communication interface of the aerosol provision device and transmitted via the wireless communication interface. A connectionless-state request packet is received from a remote wireless device, via the wireless communication interface. In response to receiving the request packet, a connectionless-state response packet is created using the wireless communication interface and the response packet is transmitted via the wireless communication interface. At least one of the advertising packet and the response packet includes the received data from the memory and data generated by the aerosol provision device and stored in the memory.

    • A client device may scan an encoding of a bill using a scanner. In response to scanning the encoding of the bill, the client device may decode the encoding of the bill to determine contents of the bill, including a merchant identifier and an amount due. The client device may determine whether automatic payment is enabled for the client device. If automatic payment is enabled for the client device, the client device may send to a transaction server the merchant identifier, the amount due, and details of a preselected payment instrument. If automatic payment is not enabled for the client device, then the client device may request an acceptance of the bill via a user interface and, in response to obtaining the acceptance of the bill, the client device may send to the transaction server the merchant identifier, the amount due, and details of a payment instrument.
