    • The present invention provides a method for preparing a fluorochemical composition comprising a urethane by reacting: (A) fluorochemical oligomer of the formula (I): MfmMn—Q1—T1 wherein MfmMn represents a fluorochemical oligomer comprising m units derived from fluorinated monomer and n units derived from fluorine-free monomer and wherein the fluorinated monomers and fluorine-free monomers may be the same or different; m is a value of about 2 to 40; n is a value of about 0 to 20; T1 is an —OH or —NH2 moiety; Q1 and T1 together represent an organic residue obtained by removing a hydrogen atom from a chain transfer agent that is functionalized with T1; (B) monofunctional compound capable of reacting with an isocyanate and comprising a poly(oxyalkylene) group; (C) isocyanate blocking agent or a fluorine-free oligomer; and (D) isocyanate-reactive compound other than said fluorochemical oligomer, said isocyanate blocking agent, said fluorine-free oligomer and said monofunctional compound; with (E) diisocyanate or a triisocyanate, wherein 33% to 67% of the number of isocyanate groups are reacted with the fluorochemical oligomer according to the formula (I), 33% to 67% of the number of isocyanate groups are reacted with said monofunctional compound, 0 to 33% of the number of isocyanate groups are reacted with an isocyanate blocking agent or a fluorine-free oligomer and 0 to 10% of the number of isocyanate groups are reacted with said isocyanate-reactive compound.

    • There is provided a curable composition comprising: a) fluoropolyethers having a molecular weight of from about 400 g/mole up to about 20,000 g/mole and containing moieties selected from (—(CF2)4O—), (—(CF2)2O—), (—CF2O—) or combinations thereof and further containing at least one nitrile group at a terminal position or at a position that is adjacent to the terminal position; and b) one or more curing agents selected from non-fluorinated compounds containing one or more functional group linked to a common residue, said residue containing at least three carbon atoms wherein the functional groups are selected from primary amines, secondary amines and functional groups that generate primary or secondary amines upon heat treatment, wherein the composition can be cured by generating groups having a triazine structure. Also provided are cured composition, methods of making cured compositions, articles made by curing the cured compositions and methods of making articles using the curable composition.

    • The present disclosure relates to a degradable material comprising (a) from about 60 weight percent to about 97 weight percent of a first material based on the total weight of the degradable material, and (b) from about 3 weight percent to about 40 weight percent of a second material based on the total weight of the degradable material, where the second material is an oligomer comprising lactate and giycolate. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides a degradable material comprising (a) poly lactic acid, and (b) an oligomer comprising lactate and giycolate, wherein the degradable material has a Tg less than 56° C. In still another aspect, the present disclosure provides a degradable material comprising (a) poly lactic acid, and (b) an oligomer comprising lactate and giycolate, wherein the degradable material has a tan delta peak of less than 65° C. It has been surprisingly found that the degradable materials according to the present disclosure provide physical properties that are not inherent to poly lactic acid alone. It has also been surprisingly found that the degradable materials disclosed herein provide improvements with respect to the processability, production costs, flexibility and ductility without decreasing their degradability.
